During her undergraduate years at an Ivy League university, Dr. C gained her first exposure to the evaluation side of admissions. Working in the undergraduate admissions office, she observed firsthand how applications were read, discussed, and decided upon. She saw the patterns—the way certain narratives created immediate engagement while others, despite describing impressive achievements, left readers unmoved.

She carried this insight into her own medical school application, earning admission to a Top 20 medical school on a full scholarship. But her curiosity about the admissions process didn't end with her own acceptance.

As a medical student, she served as an interviewer for incoming applicants. She sat in admissions committee meetings where decisions were made. During her Internal Medicine residency, she extended this experience further, participating in residency-level admissions decisions.
